We are on a mission to share Truth. To learn Truth. And to apply Truth.
As active members of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and children of a loving Heavenly Father we feel richly blessed by the doctrine of Jesus Christ. We are grateful for his life and his teachings. We also know that God has blessed us and many many others with wisdom and truth in many other forms and through many other channels.
In our faith we have what is known as the 13 articles of faith. One of those states:
"We believe all that God has revealed, all that He does now reveal, and we believe that He will yet reveal many great and important things pertaining to the Kingdom of Heaven."
We will always take a doctrinal approach as we share truth, but will also share and discuss other truths in the form of psychology and human development to help guide our discussions. We hope to bring the two together to help you make sense of the troubles you might be experiencing in your life, in your marriage and family (and extended family), and in your work. In short, we can be viewed as a christian self help podcast or a christian self help blog.
We also plan to follow the Come Follow Me format and schedule and while this is not a "Come Follow Me" community, we know that many of you will also be studying these sacred scriptures and when thoughts and principles come up in our reading that are relevant to the subject, we hope to provide insights and perspectives and open discussion to help each of us dive deeper and to understand this sacred doctrine in a way that will bless our lives and help us navigate the challenging times we live in.
This is also not a place exclusively for members of the church. We hope that this will be a safe space for those that have left the church, that are struggling with their testimonies, or those that are investigating the church. All are truly welcome here. If you have questions about some of the things we discuss on this christian podcast, please don't hesitate to reach out. We are happy to help. If we don't know the answers (which will of course happen) we want to dive in and help find the answers with you.

We are so excited about this new adventure and the opportunity we have to share truth with each of you through this christian self help podcast and christian self help blog. To share the things that are near and dear to our hearts and we hope that what we share will resonate and help you, as it has us. We are also excited to learn from you as well. We hope this becomes a great community and space where you will feel welcome and where you can come ask the hard questions. We know how hard that can be and we hope we can help you on your journey through this christian podcast.
We (Jon and Ashley) are the proud parents of four children. Two girls and two boys. Ages 16, 13, 12 and 8. We have been married for 17 years and currently live in Highland, Utah.
As a family we love pickle ball, snow skiing, travel, family games, movies and spending time together in the kitchen. We are a pretty normal family that spends our weekends running kids around to various activities but while we do it, we are always studying, researching and learning how we can find answers to the things that are on our hearts and minds. It is through this process of life, we have come closer to our Heavenly Father and to each other. While it isn't always easy, or fun... we have found tremendous joy on this journey and are so grateful for every experience. Both the good, and the hard.
Ashley graduated for Brigham Young University with a degree in Marriage Family Human Development. She was drawn to the study of the family. How it works and how it doesn't and has spent her life committed to doing all she can as a mother. While still in the thick of it, Ashley is the proud mother of four children. Two girls and two boys. Ages 16, 13, 12 and 8. She is also the youngest of 7 children and has spent most of her life observing family dynamics and also looking for how gospel doctrine and living in truth can bless the lives of family units.
Ashley loves being a Mom and everything that goes with it. She loves to travel, shop, and play pickle ball. She is a gatherer by nature and loves to bring people together and create community wherever she goes. But her most favorite experiences are the conversations at the end of the day with her husband and children. Almost nightly you will find one or all four of the kids at the foot of our bed there to gain wisdom and advice and to share the highs and lows of their day.
Ashley is the brainchild behind this christian self help podcast and christian self help blog.
Jon graduated from Brigham Young University with a bachelors degree in Advertising and Marketing and received his masters in real estate development from the University of Utah. After the death of his father in 2008 he made a career change and jumped into funeral service. In 2018 he started the first of several successful businesses that specialize in the end of loss. Providing support for grieving families as well as the businesses that serve them. Jon is a "40 under 40" recipient and just finished a term as a Highland City Councilman.
Jon's father died at the young age of 46. He is the oldest of 7 children and that death had a profound impact on his life and his purpose. With a strong belief that God will weave all of our experiences into our life for our good, he has been on a mission to find the good where ever he goes and with whatever he is doing. Jon loves being Ashley's husband and friend. He loves being a Dad. Dreaming up the next Disney vacation, or packing the car for a day of skiing at Sundance. He is a dreamer and a creator but whatever he does, he does it with his whole heart. Purpose driven work is what drives him.
Jon is the writer in the family and will be the one heading up our christian self help blog but you will also find him helping with the christian self help podcast as well!
